INGREDIENTS:-
- Radish(mooli)------------4 no.s (big ones!!!)
- Cumin seeds--------------2 tea spoon
- Moong dal----------------2 cups
- Turmeric powder---------1 tea spoon
- Tamarind-----------------1 small piece
- Asafoetida(hing)----------1 pinch
- Salt & Chilli powder to taste
PROCEDURE:-
- Clean dal with water and soak for 3 hours......
- Now, soak tamarind in lukewarm water for ten minutes and squeeze the pulp...
- Cook dal in water till it gets softer...
- Next,peel the skin of radish and shred it into small pieces...
- Now, add radish to dal and cook it until it is done.....
- Season it with four table spoon of ghee, asafoetida, cumin seeds and ginger.....
- Bring ghee to a boil and mix it with dal.......
- Finally serve it with boiled or fried rice...!!!
